Gift Wrapping

Our gift wrapping service is perfect if you are sending a frame directly as a gift to friends or family elsewhere in the world.

We will wrap your chosen frame in a protective cushion of crumpled tissue paper. The box we use is of presentation grade and fits the frame neatly.

The box is then wrapped in quality traditional brown wrapping paper. We can also add a ribbon or string and tie in a bow. There is also an option to include a hand written short message. Select these option when placing an order.

The wrapped gift is then placed in a white postal box to be shipped to your chosen destination, No insignia of Whisky Frames is displayed on the Postal box or wrapping paper.

Photo Printing

We are delighted to offer a photo printing service. Simply upload your chosen photo and we will professionally print and expertly insert it into you chosen frame.

We use a local professional photo printing company that produce top quality glossy photos that look amazing. You can select a photo with a white border or printed to the edges.

When choosing a photo please ensure it is of high quality (Usually the file size will be more that 1.5 Mb.) and in focus. It should be sized similar to that of a photo.

Consider the orientation of you photo in relation to the frame you have chosen. The Ring Chime Frame and Chime frame are best suited to portrait photos. The Bilge frame can be either be portrait or landscape.

Rest assured that your photo will never be replicated and the file will be deleted a few day after we have confirmation your frame has been delivered.

Unfortunately we can not offer any resizing or touch up services. By law we can not print photos that are copyrighted, offensive or inappropriate.

Family Tartan backing

As a Whisky Frame is quintessentially Scottish what better than to offer a family tartan to truly personalise your frame. We offer over 100 popular tartans to choose from and many more by special request.

Its important to do a bit of research before choosing your tartan if your not completely sure. We have created an online Tartan name checker to help you with your selection.

Monogrammed Rivets

Traditionally many coopers would punch their initials into the joining rivets that secured the metal hoops, we wanted to continue the practise and offer a fantastic way to subtly personalise any Ring Chime Bilge Frame or Stave frames.

We can add two initials to each hoop (the Ring Chime frame has one hoop, the bilge Frame has 2 hoops) The initial are punched not truly aligned (However they will not be more than 10 degrees off from each other) this adds to the aged and authentic look of each frame.

To add this unique personalisation to either a Ring Chime Frame of a bilge frame, Simply select the option to add monogrammed rivets on our order, then choose your initials. The bilge frame will give you the option to add a second set of initials – perfect as a wedding present for the bride and groom.

We only use capital letters from A-Z. No special characters of symbols are available at this time.

Laser engraved message

Using our in house CNC laser engraver Whisky Frames can engrave a personal message on the side of any frame.

A personal message in any language (Using the Latin Alphabet) can be engraved along the flat side of our Frames. This creates a very subtle personal gift that is truly unique.

To have an engraved message added to your frame simply select the laser engraving option when ordering your frame from or online shop, Enter your message – A maximum of 100 characters – then select the font you wish to use.

As standard we only engrave the side of the frame, if you wish to have both sides engraved, use a different font or add a logo or insignia please contact us directly to arrange this.

Our Cask & Head frames (Chime, Ring Chime, Bilge Head II & Head III ) will have the engraving along the side, Stave frames will be engraved on the back.

Choice of Harris Tweed

All our frames, as standard, have a Genuine Harris Tweed material backing which frames your photo perfectly. We offer a range of the most popular patters so you can make your frame unique.

The backing material provides a base for your photo, it covers the entire aperture so you could if you wish use smaller photos or any flat object.
