Designed to hold a 4 x 6-inch photograph in either landscape or portrait orientation, the JMT Bilge Frame is finished in the distinctive Muir Tartan.

Crafted from reclaimed whisky casks, the Bilge Frame showcases the natural curve of the barrel, creating a striking piece that can be displayed freestanding or wall-mounted. The front features a 4 x 6-inch photo aperture, secured with solid copper screws against a backdrop of Muir Tartan and the cask’s beautifully patinated steel hoops. On the reverse, the original charred oak lining is revealed an authentic reminder of the process that gives whisky much of its depth, colour, and character.

Because every frame is handcrafted from reclaimed, weathered casks, no two pieces are ever exactly alike. Variations in grain, texture, and dimensions make each frame a truly unique piece of Scottish craftsmanship.

Each Bilge Frame is individually hand-numbered and recorded in Whisky Frame’s online origin archive, detailing the distillery or cooperage from which its barrel originated.
